Project Completion – Custom Spec Restroom – Kotara

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the supply and installation of a Custom Spec amenities block for Newcastle City Council at Kotara Park sports ground that included 1 x ambulant, 1 x disabled cubicles plus 2 x storerooms.

Moodie’s custom spec restrooms allow for design flexibility and in this case single skin face brickwork was incorporated for the storerooms with painted impax panel used for the cubicles internal and external. Other features included engineered concrete slab, roller doors for storerooms, powdercoated and hot dip galvanised steel structure, metal clad doors, all lighting and electrical.

Project Completion – Riesling Steel Truss Pedestrian Bridge

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of a Riesling Steel Truss Pedestrian Bridge for Parrammatta City Council.

The bridge has a clear span of 12m and is 1.5m wide. The bridge features handrails compliant to the standards relating to Cycleways.

Roocycle decking was utilised for its long lasting no maintenance qualities.

Concrete abutments were designed, engineered and installed to required height allowing for flood level events.

The bridge was delivered fully assembled on truck, craned into position and fixed off to abutments on same day. So impact on the community was minimal.

Custom Gates for Childcare Centre

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the supply and installation of some custom gates for Lalor Park Childcare Centre. While not the biggest job Moodie’s has undertaken it still gets the same quality and durable finish that all of our projects receive.

The gates were custom made in-house and installed on site. Gate frames are hot dip galvanised steel and cladding material is our Roocycle Enviro Wood Plastic Composite material. Rest assured this gate will still be holding strong for many years to come!

Mago Urban – Grap Seat

Restoration Curved Bench

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the supply and installation of these stunning curved Restoration benches. These benches were required to have a horseshoe curve in them to wrap around the existing trees that line the streetscape.

The curvatures in the benches proved very difficult to produce to the contouring nature of the bench. However, these problems were overcome with the skilled workmanship in our factory. The benches were fully assembled in the factory and delivered to site for installation. These all Australian made benches look great and are serving the community well!

Grounded 25 EPDM

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of an EPDM safety surface for a play area in a childcare centre. Grounded25 EPDM was chosen as the material of choice for its UV stability and superior colour fastness (from both fading and wear and tear).

Softfall was installed under the EPDM wear layer to provide the cushioning. Fall heights were taken into consideration and appropriate thicknesses of softfall were installed.

A mixture of 3 different colours was chosen to create an interesting surface that the kids at the childcare centre will enjoy for many years to come.

Abilitybox Garden Beds

In 2015, Moodie Outdoor Products supplied and installed these Abilitybox Garden Beds to an art gallery in the Hunter Valley. Above is a recent pic of the installation. The mix of Corten and Galvanised Steel panels certainly creates a striking combination. The middle bed was customised to create a bench seat. Looks like a great place to grow veggies or even to just take a seat and soak up the surroundings.

Project Completion – Roocycle Pedestrian Bridge

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of two small pedestrian bridges at a new development in Mooloolaba, QLD. The bridges each measure 4m x 1.2m. The bridges were constructed entirely from recycled plastic composite materials. The Roocycle material was selected for its durability and the fact that it requires zero ongoing maintenance.

Rather than Australian waste products ending up as landfill why not utilise Roocycle in your next construction project. Benefit the environment and your ongoing maintenance budgets.
