Project Completion – Curtin University Cantilever Shelter

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of an inline cantilevered shelter at Curtin University. The all aluminium shelter measures an impressive 15m long and 3m wide. The modular design allowed for easy creation of the large shelter – 3 shelters @5x3m connected inline to create the 15x3m shelter.

Polycarbonate roof sheeting was installed to provide protection from the elements. The polycarbonate sheeting reduces the heat by 75%, UV rays by 99% and is 250 times stronger then glass.

The structural anodised aluminium engineered structure has been designed to withhold over 125 km winds and certified to Australian Standards.

Lighting and mains power has been integrated into the shelter.

Moodie Outdoor Products also supplied the stainless steel bike hoop racks for this project.

Project Completion – Newbury Ave Gazebo

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the rebuilding of the Gazebo at Newbury Ave, Stanhope Gardens. Visible from Old Windsor Road the Gazebo would be recognisable from the large water jet fountain that rises up from the lake behind it. However, the constant spray from the fountain caused the hardwood decking and hardwood substructure to completely rot out making the gazebo a hazard to the public.

Moodie’s was commissioned to replace the structure using its range of Roocycle products. The fact that Roocycle does not abosrb water, does not require any maintenance, will not rot and is termite resistant meant that Roocycle was the obvious choice to re-build the gazebo. Roocycle posts have been concreted into the lake bed and have been used to support the decking substructure that is also 100% Roocycled. Roocycle EN grey decking and roof slats were added as the final piece of the puzzle. In total 6 tonnes of waste product has been diverted from landfill in completing this project!!

Solar Powered Interactive Play Equipment

These items can be configured to run off mains power OR as a stand alone solar powered unit. The Solar Totem Pole embeds all the technology and is energy self-sufficient thanks to its solar panel. It may of course be connected to the mains power if required. It can be equipped with a Bluetooth receiver, allowing any user to connect to it to disseminate his own music. The integrated electronic card allows the system intelligence, and has been designed for outdoor use, it is resistant to extreme temperatures and does not heat thus avoiding problems such as condensation. Roocycle EN – Australian Made Recycled WPC

Moodie Outdoor Products has added Roocycle EN to its range of recycled WPC materials. Made in Australia, you can be comfortable in the fact that recycled Australian materials are being utilised rather than the material ending up as landfill.

Roocycle EN has all the attributes that make Roocycle materials so great.

Roocycle EN is a WPC (wood/plastic composite) material made from plastic bags, rigid plastic, styrene and hardwood timber particles
Will never rot unlike timber. Suitable to be immersed in water indefinitely
UV stabilised
Termite and white ant resistant
99% recycled materials are used and are 100% recyclable at end of life

New range of Health and Fitness Equipment

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently been appointed as the exclusive sales agent in Australia for Reka Setia products. Included in the range is a variety of fitness equipment covering both Static Fitness elements and Dynamic Fitness elements.

Components are manufactured with hot dipped galvanised steel and finished with polyester powder coating. Plastic components are made with UV stabilised High Density Polyethylene. Fittings, fasteners and bearings are all stainless steel. All of this combines to create long lasting fitness equipment which is sure to serve the community well. Signage is available to explain the use of the equipment to the end user.
