Kit Based Restroom Installation

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of a 1D4A restroom for St Johns Lutheran School in Kingaroy. The restroom was supplied in kit based form which allowed for quick installation on site to minimise the impact on the school environment. This particular restroom was deigned without the verandah area to minimise the footprint.

The kit based Restrooms are available in a number of standard sizes and can be configured with a number of different roof styles. Construction materials are selected to maximise longevity and minimise maintenance requirements. Stainless steel fittings are used throughout and a number of options are available such as baby change tables, knee operated basins, shower areas and store rooms.

Taylor’s Point Dinghy Ramp

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of a Dinghy Ramp at Taylor’s Point. The previous hardwood structure had been washed away during the severe storms that lashed NSW last year.

The new dinghy ramp has been designed and fully engineered by Moodie’s. Sea wall and pier footing were engineered/designed using elastoplastic concrete therefore eliminating any requirement for steel reinforcement which is prone to corrosion in a coastal environment. Roocycle ET was used in the sub-structure of the ramp and the deck was completed with non-slip FRP mini-mesh. The ramp features a slot that allows the hull of the dinghy to slide down the ramp without incurring any damage.

Roocyle ET was selected due to its non-permeable nature…meaning it will not absorb water and will therefore never rot.

Thermo Range of Tree Grates

Moodie Outdoor Products has a new range of Thermo Tree Grates. The Thermo Tree Grates are manufactured using the latest in CNC technology which allows us to provide an affordable solution for your tree grate needs. Previously tree grates were made using casting processes which was not only a slow and expensive it is also prohibitive in the number of designs available due to the cost of the casts. Cast grates also required a minimum number of units to be ordered.

With the Thermo range of grates Moodie Outdoor Products has been able to reduce lead times and pricing while allowing you flexibility in the tree grate design and number of tree grates ordered. An added benefit is the number of materials we can offer the tree grates in – mild steel, corten steel, aluminium and stainless steel to name a few.

Tree grates can be provided with load rating of up to Class B, expandability for tree growth, non-slip surfacing and in a variety of overall sizes. We also welcome the opportunity to provide you with Custom tree grate designs.

EnviroPaver – Sustainable Permeable Paving

Available from Moodie Outdoor Products is the Roocycle EnviroPaver made from 100% recycled plastic. The EnviroPaver is the sustainable choice when selecting permeable pavers. The EnviroPaver can withstand truck loading making it ideal for use in commercial areas as well as in residential applications. Some of these include:

Intensive use car parking
Truck parking
Coach parks
Heavy use pedestrian paths
Fire access routes
Loading bays
Access routes for pumping stations, solar farms and electric relay stations.
Drives and Driveways where access to sceptic or oil tanks is needed

The EnviroPaver features a smooth side or a rippled non-slip side that is great for areas where slip hazard is a concern i.e. footpaths, inclined driveways. Other features of the EnviroPaver include:

UV stabilisation to stop degradation by sunlight
Capability to withstand movements and loadings of cars, vans, trucks, dustcarts, cranes, cherry pickers and forklifts.
Plastic selection to allow use in cold temperatures – some plastic will become fragile when cold.
Open structure to allow unhindered water permeability.
Paver design to maximum support and stability from either a gravel or a grass root structure.

EnviroPaver permeable pavers can be filled either with a gravel or a suitable sand / soil mix for a grassed finish. The gravel should be 5mm to 10mm mixed sharp angular aggregate. Both finishes will give a very stable, hardworking and free draining working surface. The design of the EnviroPaver allows excellent stability resisting and negating dynamic and lateral loadings so the gravel or soils and paver remains in situ with little or no maintenance requirements.

Garden Edging – Sustainable to Decorative

These edging lengths are made using recycled plastic materials. The advantage of this material is that is a set and forget type of edging….meaning you won’t need to maintain it to keep it looking its best or you won’t be replacing it in 5 years time when it has rotted out.

The Roocycle materials work just like timber but have the added benefit of being able to curve easily to make smooth flowing edges in your garden. Pegs have also been made out of the Roocycle materials to provide a fully maintenance free edging solution that is made of at least 95% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable at the end of life.

On the decorative side of things Skemah garden edging is an easy to use edging system that provides a beautiful finish to your garden. Available in pre-rusted corten steel or powdercoated aluminium the lengths of edging are easily connected together and bent to any shape.
