New Product Release: LumoButton & LumoStrip

Moodie Outdoor Products is proud to present you with a new range of safety guidance markers. Known as the LumoButton and LumoStrip these luminescent markers glow in the dark to provide safer environments in public spaces and the workplace.

Proudly developed and manufactured in Australia the LumoButton & LumoStrip are made with superior photo-luminescent technology to allow themselves to charge over and over again indefinietly from all forms of light sources (sun, moon, stars, incandescent/fluorescent lights etc). Once fully charged they will glow in excess of 14 hours.

The LumoButton and LumoStrip safety guidance components are:

Weather resistant
Impact resistant
Anti-static
Non conductive
Fire retarded
Easily installed onto most surfaces.

The product life expectancy is:

External Use – 10 years
Internal Use – 25 years

Product Focus: Piazza Accessible Setting

Moodie Outdoor Products recently supplied a number of Piazza Accessible Settings for a Singleton Council project. The vertical Aluminium slat version of the setting was selected in this instance. Both the frame and slats have been powdercoated in the councils colour of choice.

The Piazza setting is wheelchair accessible. Being all aluminium in construction it is easy to manoeuvre into position and is simply bolted down to existing concrete surfaces. The Piazza setting is available with a variety of slat materials.

Project Progress Report – Restroom @ Boronia Park, Epping

Moodie Outdoor Products is nearing completion of a 1D3A restroom at Boronia Park, Epping. This particular restroom is slightly different from the normal kit based Restrooms offered. Being a full Design & Construct project we have been able to tailor the Restroom to meet all of Councils requirements.

The Restroom features:

Powder coated metal posts and screening, with rendered block walls painted (finished with anti-graffiti coating)

Gravity fed rainwater tank.

Solar powered lighting and timer door locks

Project Completion: Pedestrian Bridge

Moodie Outdoor Products recently supplied a Pedestrian Bridge in kit form for a residential development. The Riesling Footbridge measures 27m long and 2.5m wide. The bridge features hot dipped galvanised (HDG) structural beams with HDG vertical infills and cycle rails. The bridge has been designed to comply with Australian Standards covering both a pedestrian footbridge and a cycle way bridge.

The bridge was also supplied with Roocycle EN 150x50mm WPC decking boards that are Brown in colour. Moodie Outdoor Products oversaw the construction of the bridge frame during the initial stages and the client then completed the installation and addition of the decking boards.

The end result is an engineer certified footbridge that will require minimal maintenance in the long run.

Project Completion: Shelters & Settings

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of two Shelter with Setting combinations for Parramatta City Council.

Council opted for the Canley Vale curved roof shelter to cover the Piazza Accessible setting which features Satin Black powdercoated frame with Spotted Gum timber slats.

Moodie’s supplied all components in kit form which meant that the shelter was installed and the concrete slab was poured within a day. Once the concrete had dried the Piazza setting was installed.

Roocycle Garden Edging – The Sustainable Choice

Project Completion: Pedestrian Bridge Installation

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of a pedestrian bridge for Parramatta City Council at 3rd Settlement Reserve.

The bridge came in pre-fabricated kit form from Outside Products. Measuring a total length of 14m the bridge was delivered in kit form. Requiring 1 day worth of construction the bridge was then craned into place and bolted down.

Once the bridge was placed, the decking boards and balustrade were then installed over a 2 day period. Roocycle decking was selected as the decking board of choice as it provides a long lasting zero maintenance solution that is also slip rated to Australian Standards.

The pedestrian bridge has been fully engineer approved and has been designed to withstand flood conditions. To comply to the flood loading the bridge was designed with collapsible balustrades so that in the event of a flood the total load on the bridge and its abutments is reduced.

Project Progress: RMS Restroom Upgrades

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently been in the process of upgrading road side restrooms for the Roads & Maritime Services. The upgrades have included the installation of solar lighting to the building and areas surrounding it, safety improvements to walkways and handrails, replacement of deteriorated hardwood retaining walls with Roocycle materials, the addition of concrete paths and upgrades of internal components such as sinks and toilet pans.

Due the remote nature of these buildings there is no power available thus making solar lighting the perfect upgrade solution. The replacement of hardwood with the Roocycle WPC will ensure a long lasting zero maintenance solution to the deterioration of the existing hardwood retaining walls.
