Annangrove Reserve Shelter

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of a shelter at Annangrove Reserve. The Hills Shire Council required a custom made pre-fabricated shelter to fit onto an existing raised concrete water tank.

A Northcote Hexagonal Gazebo was chosen as the basis of the shelter. The shelter was then customised to be fixed to the top of the concrete tank. The shelter is 8.5m in diameter and as fabricated using hot dip galvanised steel RHS rafters with hot dip galvanised steel posts. The roof consists of pre-cut colourbond roof cladding with 3 polycarbonate panels included to allow natural light into the shelter.

Concrete Table Tennis Table

Moodie Outdoor Products recently supplied two Outdoor Concrete Table Tennis Tables to Sunshine Coast Regional Council. Once installed council has added the artistic paint to the surrounding area and the concrete legs of the table. As you can see the end result is great and will provide hours of entertainment for the public using the park.

Abilitybox display wins Gold

Moodie Outdoor Products recently attended the NGINA Trade Day Expo in Sydney. The Abilitybox was entered in to the Fusion Showcase for new products. We are proud to report that our display won Overall Best of Show and the Gold medal in the Non-Greenlife category.

The display highlighted the flexibility of the Abilitybox system by providing bench seating, numerous planter box sections and the ability to screen. Best of all, the display was built in a couple of hours with a single allen key!

A big thank you to Bromeliads Australia and Waterworths Nursery for lending the greenery for the display.

Moodie Outdoor Products is proud to bring you the all new i-Series Integrated Solar Light. A compact integrated solar light with the solar panel, battery and control gear all as one unit.

Very quick and cost effective to install with no wiring required. AS1158 P4 category lighting standards can be achieved with the i-Series lights.

Integrated Solar Light 5

The more powerful Integrated i1200 is for slightly larger scale solar lighting applications such as bike ways and walkways, car park lighting and parks, and is generally mounted on a 4 to 5 meter pole.

The Integrated i500 is a smaller pathway, court yard, or park light best suited to a 3 to 4 meter mount height.

The i-Series lights have the following features:

  • Integrated solar light with the solar panel. battery and control gear all as one unit
  • Require 8 hours direct sunlight to charge (panel facing equator)
  • 3 day autonomy
  • First 3 hours of lighting is at 100% before dropping to 25% thereafter
  • Contains a PIR motion sensor – meaning that if motion is detected when light is operating at 25% then it will go to 100% output for 30 seconds before dropping back down to 25%
  • Fits onto 60mm OD mounting pole
  • Warranty period = 2 years

Project Completion: Caroline Chisholm Reserve Upgrade

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed an upgrade of the Caroline Chisholm Reserve. The final component of the reserve upgrade was the construction of a deck. The substructure of the deck is constructed entirely out of Roocycle ET. The decking boards are Roocycle Enviro. Roocycle is the perfect material for the construction of this deck as it is hard wearing, long lasting, requires zero maintenance and has the added benefit of being a sustainable construction solution. As Roocycle is non-permeable it can be installed directly into the ground without ever rotting away.

In all, approximately 4.5 tonnes of waste materials have been diverted from landfill!

Caroline Chisholm Res 3

An aluminium balustrade was installed around the perimeter of the deck for safety reasons. The end result is a contemporary looking deck that blends in nicely with the surrounding environment.

Project Completion: Roocycle Boardwalk, Stage 2 – Fred Hollows Reserve, Randwick

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of Stage 2 of a Roocycle WPC boardwalk at Fred Hollows Reserve in Randwick. Total length of the boardwalk for Stage 2 is 88m. The complete boardwalk, including structural elements (posts, bearers, joists, stringers, decking, handrail and seating) is constructed entirely from Australian made Roocycle composites. The boardwalk has been designed  and engineered in accordance with Australian Standards and to meet site specific requirements.

The wood plastic composite Roocycle material has been chosen as the construction material as it provides a long service life with zero maintenance required. This makes it the ideal choice for such a construction project with the charcoal colour blending nicely into the natural bushland environment. Roocycle is a 95% recycled material made with recycled plastic and timber waste materials. It is also 100% recyclable making it a sustainable construction material. This project alone means that 10.3 tonnes of waste material have been diverted from landfill!
